Ed Wiest Shares His Hobby | Like a large number of us in this hobby, I grew up on a dairy farm but left to follow my own way in life. My brothers all farm today, and I spend quite a bit of my off time working with them. I've restored a '49 JD A, and have a No. 5 mower to go with it, as well as cultivators, a 2 bottom plow, spring tooth harrow, and I'm currently working on restoring an IHC spreader. All my equipment is on one brother's farm, and I use it there whenever time permits. I'm not into seeing machines restored to the hilt and then never used again, with the exception of rare or unique models. I'm also not 'brand specific' toward JD or anyone else. I love them all!
