McCormick-Deering Industrial Tractors | In 1952 while employed in the O & D Department at the IH branch in London, Ontario, Canada a Zone Manager named Tony Borett presented us with an interesting surprise. While rummaging around in the attic of one his farm equipment dealers, he found something of interest that he, (and as it turned out) none of us had ever seen before or since. Namely, an old and stylish well made 136 Page sales manual, Titled as above along with Operating Equipment available at time of issue 1924. I managed to hold on to this very rare publication for these nearly 60 years since. The catalog features road graders and every conceivable piece of equipment that could be married to a tractor line, such as the 10-20. Bearing in mind that IH had only been in the tractor business, at that time only 20 years, and since we were all preoccupied with current Farmall line, this book turned out to be a class ic in its own right, that I still have in my possession. I'd like to talk with anyone that has interest. Al Herman, Fl, entered 2011-07-05 My Email Address: Not Displayed |
