Wd 45 really woke up

Got a 1955 wd45 would sputter at times, ran better with 1/4 choke, so I took the zenith w/e off, rebuilt the Marvel Tsxu 836 off the parts tractor, put it on my wide f/e, holy hell the difference fells like I gained 5 hp, lol, seriously, always thought that the gov was little lazy, out of adj but with the rebuilt marvel, wow, what's this carb off originally, and did wd45 come with odd zenith?? My owners manual for the wd45 shows the MS 464 carburetor only for the tractor.

The TSXU 836 was one of several carbs that will fit a D17 but will work on a WD45. The 464 is what the WD45 had on it.

Apparently some WD-45s came with Zenith Carbs.....all I've ever seen had Marvel/Schebler TSX-464 carbs.

The Parts manual lists a Zenith model 267-8 or M/S models TSX-464, TSX-561 or TSX-773.

Incidently, the D-17 parts list shows the same three model M/S carbs as well as a Zenith model 267-J-8.
