Looking at a 8010 fwa,want to use it for a haying tractor has about 6000 hours and powershift. The only thing that seems wrong is that in fourth gear it sounds funny.still works good just noisey what's thought on if this trans needs a rebuild parts available and pricey thanks Steve.

I only sold three or four 8010's. Sold dozens and dozens of 8030's and bigger. I know for a fact that in the 8010 Power Shift transmission they "cheapened" it up in one planetary gear-set carrier because it was obviously overbuilt as the same transmission was used from 110 to 170 HP. I've never had one fail yet, but someone has to be first ?? I can't say if there's a problem or not without listening to it myself. Also, consider cab mounts being worn out will cause all kinds of noises that you normally wouldn't hear.
