Good morning guys
I'm new to the forum and thanks for the help y'all have provided me in the past while lurking around. I have an A/C 200 that I need to change the hydraulic oil in. Can I use John Deere Hy Trans oil that I have on hand for my 4430 Deeres or not? If not would you recommend what I need to get?
Thanks Brett

As long as it meets AGCO 821 spec. I'd guess JD Hy Guard is every bit as good. Shouldn't be an issue at all.

I would think any oil sold by John Deere or CIH for that matter would be far superior to any oil sold by AC or AGCO

As far as I know, the current PermaTran oil provided by AGCO meets the same specs as John Deere or CNH hydraulic oil, so which one is superior if they all meet the same specs ???? Allis-Chalmers started 45+ yrs ago with 821 hydraulic oil which was the same as Deere 303 hydraulic oil. Over the years 821 became 821XL and in the last 8 or 10 years PermaTran.
