On the 770 the tractor is set for 32.5 inches from the center of the pto to center of tire . Question is it the correct setting for the rear? Also what is the correct setting for the front? Thank You Jerry from Ohio

If your running the tire in the-furrow you need to measure from inside the rear tire to the frog on the first shear. A 14" bottom would be 14 inches so that your taking a 14" cut on the front plow bottom. Is it a three point or pull plow? On a pull plow. You have a. Little flexibility . You can allwys maybe pin the drawbar over if needed. Dick. I have a BER book. It probably tells the measurement. I'll check. Dick. Your fronts need to be out the same as the rears.

I just looked in my Centenial pull type plow book. It shows center tread widths of 48, 60 and 72" . The three point type plow will need to be much different I believe. Dick

Here is the BER settings.

Here are the wheel settings as per my MTA plow manual. for 16" bottoms it says 50" between the tires, front and back. If you have hills, I would set them at 54" You didn't say how many bottoms are on your plow, which will effect where you set the pivot bolt and clamp the draft bar.

Our operator manuals are saying the same thing in different ways. Mine gives inside of tire measurements rather than tire center measurements. My manual is the second edition.

Loren, It is 3x14 When dad bought the plow it was on a 400 Racine an we used it on a 611B. If it ever stops raining I would like to plow some corn stubble and of coarse the wife's garden, that is the most important one. The plow has not turned any soil in 20 some years .

What a pleasant surprise an great talking to you. Thank you for the information. It has been awhile since I plowed and it will be learning all over again. When dad had the plow he could make it plow so you did not see the wheel tracks. On the back of the tractor there is writing an it says 32.5 ". With information I received today I am sure I can get the 770 to plow as good, well maybe as good as DAD and his 611b,I miss him.
