Rocking Easy Ride Seat.

I'm sure this has been covered before, but a search on this site didn't turn anything up.

I got a EZ-ride from Ben Fitz to put on my 530. It needs a little work, like a lot of these seats do. The one thing is the part that is numbered G45000 on the Official Case/IH parts look up page. The rods, part numbers G46000 and G46001 goes through the holes as shown in the drawing. Over years of use the holes have become enlarged cause the seat to rock back and forth while driving the tractor. This rocking really play hob on my back. What are the repairs, if any, that any of you used to correct this. I have a few ideas, but would like to see other ideas too.

(quoted from post at 22:27:23 05/26/18) Suppose to have bushings there.

The parts break down doesn't show a bushing going in those holes. It does show a set of bushings (G46002) that goes into the rear of the rubber springs. I'll probably use a steel bushing in mine, with oil holes added to them.

No end to the size and type of bushings you can find on the interweb. My seat was the conventional VAC seat and I ended up reaming out 4 sets of holes and putting in bushings. It made a big difference. I saw another guy who welded pieces of pipe between the two brackets which made long one piece bushings and then he tapped it for a grease zirk. Looks like you could do that on that seat if you want to go through that much work.

I'll need the space between the holes for the rubber springs. I measured things up and think I can use top link bushings. They are 3/4" I.D and 1" O.D. The holes measure about 7/8". I can skin a 1/8" off the out side of the bushing with my instrument lathe. But not until the weather cools off a little. I get a little drippy working in the garage.
