So Ih made refrigerators, Allis made electric motors, JD had a 2 cylinder tractor and painted it green, case been there did that. Case ran the
Indianapolis 500 over 100 years.
 
Not watching much of it but noticed on the home stretch the drivers seem to all go down the straight away toward their left, then swing back to the right to make turn one. Why not just go straight down the straight track?
 
I was referring to the cars that JI Case fielded in the Indianapolis 500 of 1911, 1912 and 1913. There are several pictures of the cars and drivers with there Case uniforms if you google it.

The drivers use the full width of the track to make the corners as fast as possible. Sharp turns kill speed.
