wheel weight

My daughter was helping me mount the wheel weights back on the 732 today when she asked how much they weigh. I really didn't know, other than they are dang heavy. I looked in my parts books for both the 100 series and 30 series but did not find the weights in question. Case casting number is 6744A, a 22" diameter, about 9" tall, secured with 3 3/4 inch bolts, hole in center and no provision for stacking additional weights onto the first one. Looking at a metal weight calculator on line, it shows cast iron with those dimensions would weigh 790 pounds, so allowing for the 6" center hole, they would still tip the scale at around 700 lbs! Sure wouldn't want to drop it on my toes. Ouch!

I have a 2 set of rear weights that came off 830 case. This is what they look like and weigh about 150 lbs.

The heavy 3 bolt weights for the standard tread models weigh 750 lbs each I believe. The smaller stackable ones are 150. There is also a heavy weight (non stackable) that was used on 26" wheels that was perhaps in the 500-600 lb range.
