Hello, I'm reading this old topic hoping to find a fix to my issue. Sounds like JM is just the guy I need. I have an early 80's international td7e powershift. I've owned it for almost two years and am new to dozers as of then. This dozer has worked perfectly until yesterday. I've used the heck out of it and it has been well maintained (this dozer was contracted with blm and usfs on a fire contract and owned by a meticulous, very mechanically inclined guy). I haven't had any issues, all 3 fed and 3 reverse have always worked great, fluids always great, steering always great. Yesterday I was using for 4 hours or so, everything worked fine, went to make a push and it won't turn left. Turns right immediately, still shifts and runs as it short and goes in a straight line, both steering levers feel like they have the full tension they've always had. No weird noises or slowly acting up, went from working great one minute to absolutely nothing out of the left track the next minute. Track doesn't jitter or anything. Brake pedal seems to be working, although it never has worked great at stopping the dozer so it probably needs adjusting and I'm doing that now but wouldn't the right side also be effected if that were the issue? It's like something jiggled loose or the left steering cylinder isn't getting any hydraulic pressure to it..? I'm an amateur with this machine but had overhaul and operator manuals and am a fairly mechanical guy. Sure seems like an easy fix as it was such a sudden onset. I've found the big left track adjuster bolt/nut at the 10oclock position behind the drive sprocket. I can adjust that too, I just think that if it needed adjustment it would have gradually onset. I will mention the clutch pressure gauge has always read to the far right of the green which seems high but fluid has always been great. Any help is greatly appreciated and you can email me directly if you prefer and I'll quickly send my phone #! Thanks for your time!
