CAT 941B Fluid Requirements

I recently purchased a CAT 941B trac-loader to play around with clearing some fence rows for cross fencing. I've never owned one of these before, and have no experience with them. But I'm having fun learning.

However, I've been told by the former owner to use certain fluids from Tractor Supply for the hyrdraulics, steering, transmission fluids, and engine oil. But something different from a mechanic I had out to rebuild the hydraulic lift cylinders. And a third recommendation from a CAT service facility a few hours away, but I'm not really confident that the guy from the service facility knew what machine we were talking about.

I'd like to hear from someone who owns one of these machines as to what they are using in their machine.

I appreciate any help you can provide.

Thank you.

I have a 941B, has power shift transmission and pedal steer . Them recommended fluids by Cat is TDTO fluids in the transmission and steering clutches--change all the filters and screens while your doing that--Manual calls for 50w oil in the final drives.
I use aw46 hydraulic oil in the hydraulic system but you can vary the viscosity according to ambient temperature. and any good diesel oil is fine in the engine

I've owned four 941's over time and my manuals called for HD 30W engine oil for engine, trans and bevel gear case providing you are working in above freezing temps and as
mentioned 50W for the final drives. I like hyd. 68 in the hydraulic system as older used machines get more wear in all hyd. components you get less bleed back/bypass
everywhere. For very cold climates it may be necessary to use hyd. 46. Great machines, very well built and if they are well maintained it is amazing how long they can last.

yes the manuals do call for engine oil in the transmission and steering clutches, but Cat has come out with the TDTO oil since then which is supposed to drastically extend the clutch disk life
