system completely empty,with filter change about 8.5 gallons. fill it until oil shows in the trans sight glass.start machine and cycle the trans forward and reverse several times. shut machine off, top off if needed until it shows half way in the sight glass. It originally called for dexron type trans fluid,but you can use universal tractor fluid
