Hi guys I sold my John Deere and just purchased a 655d Ford that needs a lot of work so it will probably be another restoration project like the 5000 Ford project. My question what's the proper transmission fluid and does it mix with the rear end? I haven't got it home yet so I'm not sure. It's supposed to come with a service manual.
The power steering isn't working due to a hose and the engine is pouring raw diesel smoke but it cranks time you touch it so I'm thinking there's a stuck injector. I don't think the plungers in the pump would do that so I'll keep you guys informed as I go along.
