I purchased a 1968 international 500 crawler with a bd154 diesel engine. It has been sitting for 16 years and had black coming out of the injection pump. I purchased a rebuild kit and disassembled the pump. Everything looks fine just really dirty. I have it cleaned up and new parts installed. But every diagram I find online shows a large circlip inside the pump and mine had none when I disassembled it?? Question is does it have to have it or did some models not have this??
