#1 Is it advisable to apply a light coat of grease to the inner "shoes" on the tracks? Or is this just going to attract dust? The inner shoes I am in reference to is the guides that travel between the "vee" in the track rollers. Are these supposed to just be metal-to-metal... Seems harsh.
#2 What is the correct tension to set on a rubber track machine. The tracks are about 6-7 ft long on a Komatsu PC38UU-2. When I got it the tracks were tight on bottom with the machine raised off the ground. I let them off and now have about 2 inches of droop in the centerline of the track. Is this too much or not enough.
Thanks,
Charles
