1959 Farmall Cub

I am looking at a 1959 Farmall Cub. The seat is not the round pan type, but more like my John Deere seats that are square with sides and back. The gear shift lever is bent forward because of the seat. It this a farmerization, or factory option?

You are looking at a "Delux" seat. Actually an option. My 77 cub has that seat. Makes it a little harder to get on and off but very comfy on your bunnns. Well worth getting !!

Or at the dealer when they installed the seat if it was purchased afterwards. Some people really go bonkers about that seat saying they are rare. No.... just an option. Would you beleave the adjustable width front end is also an option????. My 1977 CUB also had an option for a HORN . Yup, you used a Delco low note horn from a car and it bolted down by the bottom right corner of the radiator. Not too many things, but you can trick out a CUB a little bit. The one thing you can go hog stinking wild with is all of the attachements for these little tractors. I have a copy of that parts book and there are WELL over 100 items. All kinds of stuff.
