I was just thinking as I read the below post.40 years ago when I was a kid,you could buy good running Ms for 800 to 1200. Today,you still can.Seems some things never seem to change.I like Ms.3(counting the400lol) that run.If I could afford more,I'd have more......where can you buy such a dependable and versatile workhorse for that small amount of money?So inspite of being inexpencive to buy,their 'value' is much more 'valuable'.

Exactly. In my case, I bought my H model 30 years ago for $700. Have only had to paint her, put in new clutch, brakes, various seals. The old girl has cleared off this farm, plowed and disced and bush-hogged her heart out, torn apart every implement I have, wins all the prizes in Christmas parades, shines like a jewel, and value increases all the time. I think in the beautiful condition mine is in, they are worth $2000 or so now. I'm really impressed with the letter series Farmalls, designed going on what, 75 - 80 years ago, re-designed by Raymond Loewy. Great value for the money.

Forgot to mention, each and every part is constantly available either Case-IHC dealer's or on-line. {Good to see you back, DeltaRed.}

Not around here you wont! People think all old tractors are painted with that magical green paint that automatically doubles the value. SUre, someone lay get lucky and come across a deal or 2 here and there, but for the most part, people are greedy, or crazy! Just one xample I ran across yesterday: Saw this very nice, and I m pretty sure original 350. Guy said hes had it for years, but never got it running. Tires held air, but were pretty much shot. Offered him a very fair price since it wasn't locked up, or running, and he laughed and said he paid 3 times that for it. I offered $900.

yes they are the greatest tractors. I bought three more yesterday a super m a super h and another h. just got them home.

Same here. Doesn't matter what color it is, or I should say was. People seem to think any rusted out hunk of metal they can pull out of the fence row is solid gold. There's an old beat up Farmall H that keeps getting resisted on local Craigslist for over a year now. Keeps listing it for $3,000. Go to an auction and it's the same. Most don't sell because there's a reserve.

I agree. They are my absolutely favorite and as you put it, a great value for the value. Though I have only one, someday I'd really like to have a nice original with a WF and PS.

Exactly! This guy is known as a hoarder of anything. I hate to say it like this, but he wont be around much longer, and his family has already said they are selling everything!
