How do I find out what year my tractor is?

Find the serial number and look up the year in "serial numbers" to the left under "Research & Info".

its located on the right side of the tractor on the housing where the seat frame bolts to. also on the block just above the dist. is the casting code. it will look something like this:

5-18-Y

translate: May 5, 1953

super c's were built from 51 to 54
51- U, V, and W
52 - X
53 - Y
54 - Z

Well if it isn't on the left side of the transmission housing, it got knocked off,then you will have to go by the date codes, like bass explained, you can get close!!

The serial tag is on the toolbox under the seat on Super C's, not on the left side of the transmission housing.

It will be a silver tag riveted to the box. The serial number will be stamped in, not painted on, and will be 6 digits and start with a 1.

The #above #1 plug is engine serial# and it will not match the serial# on the seat mount. The one on the seat mount is the correct # for yr built engine # is not
