Finally got the C farmall running. Now I am in the process of getting the tin back on. Can someone please tell me what size the bolts are that hold the grill on the tractor? I am thinking about getting stainless steel bolts and want to make sure I get the right ones.

Thanks Todd

No. The tractor showed up to me with grill off and no bolts. Thanks for the responses. I will try both and see what I find out.

Ours has 5/16 or 3/8 X 3/4 NC. Don't you have an assortment of bolts that you can try screwing in to see what you have? Some of these things you
just have to figure out by yourself!

What kind of threads are in the bracket where the blts go. Thats where to start cause over the yra they have been cross threaded and sometimes the threads are shot all because someont didnt even look at those threads so thats where to start asking question here doesent syour problems so just take a good look at the bracket for what is there for threads now. Orignal size is 5/16 fine thread and 3/4 long with over size head. Look at the bracket and you can see where too long of bolt wont work

Steiner used to carry them. I bought 2 of them 8 years ago to replace the originals which got lost. The ones Steiner provided were exactly the same as the original one. I think they are 3/8 fine thread but they are a special cap screw. Try your Steiner dealer and he may still be able to get them. And they were very reasonably priced.

Steiner used to sell them. I bought 2 of them about 10 years ago to replace the two that were lost on my Super C. As said they are fine thread 3/8 and are a special design cap screw. Give your Steiner dealer a call and see if he can still get them.

If I recall, they are 5/16 NF threads. They are part number 58141D. If you want to stay "original" and get them, there is a company, "Pilot Knob Restorations" that has them. If you Google the name, they'll come up...

Thanks everyone for your help. And thanks for the information about Pilot Knob. Just so everyone knows they were 5/16 fine thread.
