farmall c won't start

I had
my c overhaul a while back.First time it starter right up ,.and it was running real good.Started plowing with it ,and after plowing for a while it started to run real rough and sputtering.and finally it died down,Been trying to start it but no luck.Has good spark good compression, and good gas, what could be the problem?

Good spark as in?? Is it blue/white and jump a 1/4 inch gap at ALL the plug wires?? Are the plugs wet when you have tried to start it?? If the yare there gas fouled. As for gas if you pull the carb drain plug do you get a good flow of gas that will fill a pint jar in under 3 minutes??

I re timed it and yes distributor cap is tight.I am going to try re time it again and check all the above things that everybody mention and see what happens.

(quoted from post at 05:58:04 09/19/17) I re timed it and yes distributor cap is tight.I am going to try re time it again and check all the above things that everybody mention and see what happens.

I was referring to the clamps that keep the distributor from rotating which would allow the timing to change, not the cap.

Just fixed friend's H by substituting an old condenser for the second new one he had put in. Those condensers were made in China and may fail prematurely. Go to NAPA and get a Echlin brand condenser. At least they are made in Mexico.
Do you have an original IH distributor or the Delco aftermarket style? Different style of points and condenser.
