I have a 1959 IH240 utility. It doesn't have a fast hitch or power steering. Wondering if anyone can direct me to where I can find the parts I might need to add these items.

(quoted from post at 06:34:00 02/21/18) I have a fast hitch off a row crop not sure if its the same but its for sale.

I need to get my parts book from storage in Wisc. Online parts book doesn't show enough detail. I think there are some differences. I will let you know once I get a chance to review it. May be a few weeks though.
Thanks

I checked my Farmall and International 240 Parts Catalog TC-53 and there are significant differences between the IH 2-Point Fast Hitch system for the two models. A lot of the small pieces are basically the
same but the major pieces like the main yoke (IH calls it a Bail Assembly) or wishbone shaped piece on the bottom are different. The other main pieces that are different are some of the hitch mounting plates
and linkage items along with some functional items between the two hitch systems. For an International or Utility model 240 you should only consider a hitch from the same model as the hunt for the different
pieces would be very difficult by themselves. A salvage yard with a 240 Utility tractor with a complete fast hitch system you want for your tractor will be your best best to have a functional system for your
tractor. Other potential options of lack thereof on your tractor like Hydro Touch and Tele-A-Depth systems also introduce additional variations between the Farmall and International models. Hope this helps
but you will find parts for the IH 240 tractors are difficult to find due to their limited production numbers and much more so for the Farmall 240. I restored a Farmall 240 (only about 3600 were produced) a
few years ago and parts are next to non existent as a large number or parts, other then engine parts, are not common to other IH tractor models with higher production numbers. My email is open if you need
additional clarification or information in this matter. Hope this helps and best of luck in having a functional and useful tractor for your needs, Hal.
