This is a post for a neighbor,he has a 240 IHC, we had diner today, he say's his pto slip's on a roto tiller,i haven't looked at it, but does the work like to Super MTA, The clutch's and brake??

The 240 has a pure mechanical trans driven PTO (not independent). Those tractors are generally too fast in first for a rotary hoe. If it slips, it is either jumping out of gear, or the main (engine) clutch is slipping. It has a mechanical on/off sliding sleeve mechanism for engage or disengage. If gradual slipping is happening, it is either a mechanism in the tiller, or the main engine clutch. Jim

X2 on what Jim said. No clutch to slip in the PTO unit on the 240.

To add, if it is the engine clutch, there is no "adjustment" that will fix it. The tractor needs to be split to install a new clutch.

On the tiller, there is likely a slip clutch where the PTO driveline enters the gearbox. Those can usually be adjusted.
