thread sealers

I need some advise on what to use to seal the threads on the fuel sediment bowl and fuel line connections to the bowl and carb.

I need something that can take the constant exposure to gasoline and not breakdown and keep the connections from leaking.

Thanks.

On tapered pipe threads, teflon paste is nice.
on flare fittings there is need for a dab of anti sieze on the threads, but none on the flare.
A compression fi.tting can also have a bit of anti sieze on the threads, but no need on the ferrule.
teflon usually a poor choice because it lets shreads get into the flow. JimN

Fuel lines to bowl are normally designed to not require any sealant. But if you decide to use sealer, use teflon tape. To make sure it doesn't get into the fuel system don't wrap it all the way to the end of the threads.

Thread tape! The teflon type. Best thing for the older fittings. As mentioned, don't put it all the way to the end of the male thread.
Teflon lubricates and seals the fitting.
Cheers,
Rex

The TEFLON tape must be used careful as the small pieces can get into the carb. I use a teflon paste that comes in a tube and seals great byt use sparingly just get a small amount into the threads.
