GOT THE RAD. OUT TONIGHT. DEFINITELY HAD TO REMOVE FRONT END. I'M GOING TO DRILL/MACHINE HOLES IN STEEL PLATE THAT HOLD FRONT ON SO I CAN ACCESS THE NUTS IF I EVER NEED TO AGAIN. DO YOU THINK THIS WILL IN ANY WAY WEAKEN MOUNTING PLATE? ALSO, ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD CHECK OR LOOK INTO WHILE TRACTOR IS EXPOSED THIS FAR? THANX SCOTT

The holes you'll be drilling are far enough away from the mounting holes to not be a problem. Just don't torch out a couple of big slugs.

I intended to drill mine but just never did it, in fact forgot all about it until you just mentioned it. Never mind its just an age thing but it is a very good idea. Incidently my information is that factory built wide fronts had the holes and after market it depended entirely on who did the job. Mine still shows the marks of a gas torch where the plate was cut.
