Hi, guys. We had the hydraulics rebuilt last spring on a '58 560 gasser. This included pump and valves. The job was hired out to a tractor dealer about 45 miles away with an okay reputation. Prior to the rebuild, the hydraulics only acted to the extent that you moved the levers. Now, when you push a lever, in either direction, they lock in and go to the full extent of the travel, unless you pull back on them to stop it. It is the same issue on all three levers [up/down on the loader; bucket attitude on the loader; and up/down on the fast hitch].
I have the IT manual; on page 79, paragraph 276, figure 1233, what's called an unlatching valve spring. Is there some way to adjust this assembly to get the controls to function in the way they used to? Or is this "all or nothing" behavior what's to be expected?
Nobody likes this. It makes the loader and quick hitch really hard to use. Any help is appreciated,
Thanks,
Don
