Now I have seen this stack on other H's and seen the stack placed on top of the pipe from the manifold and also seen the pipe removed and stack seems to be slipped into the manifold.

What's the best and safest? Kinda like it to slip on down into the manifold because the chrome part goes straight down in the hood.

I believe it is best to assemble it with the clamp just above the hood. This allows easy removal, and leaves the hood stock. JimN

Thanks for reminding me about that. I herd it's a pain to undo the stack with your hands under the hood.

It's sure purdy, but my ears hurt just looking at that thing! :)

Looks like it just clamps on in place of the stock muffler. If it went into the manifold, it'd be threaded with a 2" NPT. It wouldn't just slip in there unless you really wanted to launch your shiny new pipe across the yard when you started up the tractor.
