IH 2404 3 point hitch

The property we have recently acquired has a creek running through it. We like to keep things mowed and neat but the creek bank is a problem. I am looking at an IH 2404 with a belly mount sickle bar mower on line. I think it would handle the bank mowing just fine but it does not have a 3 point hitch. I would like to have a blade for landscaping and to move snow in the winter and possibly a rotary mower. How hard and expensive is it to add a 3 point hitch to an IH 2404 or should I just figure that it is a single purpose machine?

The three point can be added without a lot of problem. You would take the seat off and remove the bolts underneath and the bare back plate (pretty heavy though) and put on a three point plate with the lift arms (which you will need to find one to purchase). You could use the lift for the blade but you would have to unhook the sickle mower from the PTO in order to use the rotary cutter.
