While ravaging thru the salvage yard again before they start scrapping tommorrow, I stopped at the remains of a 660 I.H. It has a TA foot extension on the clutch pedal. Having never grown up around these standard tractors I wonder if that was factory or an option?? I have a 650 but of course has no TA. There is some other nice parts on that thing to but? So any one educate me on that TA. There is no shift lever like the Farmall tractors have. Thanks Migraine

The 660was avaiable with either a hand or foot operated clutch. To shift the T.A. that was combined with the main clutch linkage. Maby somebody will have more information. Armand

I drove an IH660 with a cab on it in southern Albert for a month about 45 years ago. As I recall, it had two clutch pedals, split like brake pedals, outer one was clutch, inner was T/A. I believe this option was to accommodate a cab. With a cab there was no place for the T/A hand lever.

My memory may not be correct, so someone can correct me.

looking for the sheetmetal between fender and hood kind of a filler panel and a seat for a 660..would pay dearly for these pieces if they are on that tractor..Email is open also....

My dad had a 1959 660 new that had the foot operated TA, but this was changed in a factory update to the larger clutch pedal and a hand lever (like all the others) to operate the clutch and the TA. If my memory is working I think the changover occured during the winter of 1961 - 62. The later models came equiped with the hand operated TA. Darald
