farmall super a sparkplugs

Hey can anyone tell me what size socket fits the sparkplugs on a super a. I have tried all the sparkplug sockets I have and nothing fits. What are the best plugs to use in the super a? Its looks like theres a mixture of champion and autolite in it now. Also some plugs are deeper than others in it. Are there plug extension on it?

you need a thinwall 7/8 socket to get the plugs out. in champions d15y, d16y, d18y and d21's will work. in autolites 386, 388, and 3116's. the higher numbers will give you hotter plugs. i usually run the 386 or 388 autolites.

I bought a deep well 7/8" socket at Sears. It doesn't have the hex end on it like a real spark plug wrench does but it works for me.
