Is it normal for a tad of oil from the air cleaner to get in the carb.Smokes very lightly for one or two minutes.Dont get rid oil that i can tell on the oil stick.Noticed a drip of gas hanging on the bottom of the carb, gotit on my finger looked like it had oil in it.Dont cause any problem just wondering. Thanks

Worn valve guides is usually the cause of that one or two minute smoking and will never lower the oil level by any detectable amount. It will get worse over a very long time, but basically is nothing to worry about. The drip on your finger is from a varnished up fuel bowl on the carburetor. It will seem to be a bit oily in nature, but again, if the tractor is otherwise running just fine, don't worry about it.

Rusty is on target. I'll add that it is best to shut off the fuel at the tank when the tractor is not in operation. This limits the possible leakage, and reduces varnish buildup in the bowl from evaporation. JimN
