460 u question

i found a 460 utility for 2500.00. thinking about buying it. any thing to really worry about with the 460u? gas, ta seems ok, loader works (a little slow not to bad), pulls good, three point conversion, starts great, and no smoke.

the bad..... pto runs all the time (have to push the lever down an extra couple of inches to make it stop) prob adjustment, the front end is wobbly (the wheels move back and forth (horizontal). the typical old tractor leaks.

did i miss anything? any major red flags?

Parts are available to rebuild that wobbly front axle, but they are not particularly inexpensive, especially if you pay the asking price, which I think is about $1,000 too high.

thanks. the spindles feel tight and the wish bone has some slop in it were it mounts/ pivots on that ball. it looks like the hole in the wishbone is all worn out and over sized(maybe 1/8 inch or so over sized). but i did not think it would cause that much movement on the wheels!
