560 water trap

The fuel waterseperator on my 560 diesel leaks. Parts are not availble from IH or even the complete unit. Does anyone know of a similar setup on a newer tractor that my fit? It looks like a larger version of the typical gas fuel strainer.

If you are talking about the glass bowl, I got a new rubber gasket at my local NAPA store.

The gasket I can get, but the casting for the glass bowel was overtightened and warped ,before I got it and so it leaks and also the shutoff valve leaks.

Part number 370074R91 shows as being available on the Case-IH parts website. It is the complete assembly. I think you need to either find a different dealer or ask for a different parts man the next time you go in.

I have a similar problem. The cone shaped screen filter in the bowl has a slice in it. The cone is no longer available and the replacement strainer assembly from IH or even Messicks is from $177(plus shipping) to $196 from Case/IH. I have just taken some JB weld and smeared it across the cut after cleaning with carb solvent. I don't know it the smaller gas strainers that are available for $18 and up would work(have enough flow).
