Super c carb

i bought a super c, the carb had been rebuilt several years back, but it is leaking bad . Is it fairly easy to put in the rebuild kit, or just by a new carb. How would you know if you need a new carb?

Normally, I tell folks that there is no such thing as a carb that cannot be rebuilt. The one exception might be the carb on a super C IF that carb is the original Carter. The Carter is made of a very thin pot metal, and is prone to warping out of shape. Also, a new float for a Carter is not available from anywhere that I know of, although a rebuild kit with a new needle valve and seat is readily available. The kit is not hard to install, and if your float is GOOD, the kit should solve your problems.

If its a Zenith carb a rebuild is a piece of cake. There is a good kit in the parts section of this site for a reasonable price.
