going to finish wiring soon, it has a push/pull switch witch i dont think is right, but if it will work, thats fine. i got the idea somewhere?, that the factory wireing would have to be changed, using that switch. also i might buy the right one if i could find it and its not too expensive!thanks for any help

If it has a cutout relay and a four position light/charge rate switch, it needs to be that switch (OEM and others have it)
If it is three position, (and you want it stock, again OEM and others will have them. If you do not need it to be stock, Push Pull is fine, the Dim position is glow worm territory and un-needed. JimN

Carefull and steady as she goes. That switch is there to enable you to imediatly groud and shut off the engine should something go wrong. Tractors can be dangerous at times and it wont shut off on its own until it"s too late. Thats why it pushes "in" to go off.
Hit any rocks lately?

He's right of coarse. I was really relating to mine when I first got her and the two switches, both push-pull would get me confused. I was prone to grabbing the wrong switch. I like the OEM rotary switch too.
