Tractor related injury

Sat was our 25th wedding annv. and my wife and I both took the day off work. I had bought a 52 Super C a few weeks before and much to my surprise she said she would like to go with me to pick it up. We were having a great day, bought some breakfast on the way home and just had a good visit. My second surprise of the day she said she wanted to help me pick up around the front of my barn, old pallets and wheel weights and such. She wanted to show me right where she wanted me to put all the stuff in our fence row. Instead of walking she asked to ride on the carry all of the super C. Mistake #1. I told her to hold onto the back of the seat real firm and I put it in 1st gear and rolled as slow as the tractor would go. We rode all down the fence row and she found the spot she wanted to put the stuff. She said to pull forward a little more what I didnt know was she had taken her hands off the seat. I only rolled maybe 4 or 5 feet but spilled her off the back. Long story short, fractured humerous and dislocated lt elbow. Made for a strange 25th annv. Sure made me sick. It's an awful sight to see someone you love piled up on the ground and to know it's cause I let her do something I knew was not smart. Will post photos of new tractor and x-rays later.

Paul: Happy Anniversary, give our best wishes to your good better half. Wish her a speedy recovery.

What has happened to all the old time Missouri YTers. They've disappeared like a bunch of dead men. Hope that isn't the case.

Sorry Paul, I hope all will be well, safety is allways an issue and sometimes the people we protect don't allways understand why we say be carefull. When my wife does something questionable on the tractor and I yell at her, she thinks I am nuts. I just would not want anything to happen. Tractors are just not like cars.

I still get on here everyday. Just everyone is so much smarter than me I don't get to answer a lot of questions. I see Jimmy on here once and a while and I wanted to get up to the red power round up and see Farmall Hal but the boy was playing baseball. Momma is back to work with one wing but I am still fixing her hair and putting in her contact lenses. I also have learned it is way harder to put on a bra than what I thought it would be. I think she will heal fast, her and the kids don't care for my burnt offerings from the kitchen. If gas ever goes down I'll be ready to get together for that barbque.
