Hi guys,

Finally got the B finished and now I want to repaint the origional 2 row cultivator but don't know what the colors should be. Is there a source for that available? It doesn't have to be "correct" exactly so if anyone has a general rule on what gets painted what color, I would appreciate it.

I belive the framing gets painted red, while the points and such are blue. Correct me if I'm wrong, anyone.

Van Sickle Paints carries International Blue. Krylon dark blue is fairly close but i prefered the Van Sickle shade.

Over the yrs different colors were used all shanks ive seen were black. The guards were blue and then red on later ones. Main frame was red the leveling bars some were red and earlier were black. Earlier lift handles were blue and later red. The pipe frame models were 136 and rect steel models 138 there was also a veggie model 437. Seen a late model at a sale today all red. Main frame was stenciled b-238 or some had bn-b-238. There was another model b-221 steerable i havent sand blasted it yet to realy see which color the various parts were i see some blue and black lift levers appear to have been blue. Its all there down to the bolts all being square head. Another project someday. If yours is a exhaust lift the cycl s were red when new but the red paint fell off and the tube portion was blue.

Hey Gene, don"t you think it is about time you gathered some pictures and put a little book together on the offsets? Since it was my idear can I have a first edition...autographed?

Hi DAVE yes it could be fun to have pics of the different implements that were avail all painted up and such. I have some but could do more. I have never seen a pic or a real one but have talked to some and they say I-H had a small cotton picker for a B now that would be something. I plan on putting together a B-437 veggie cult soon on either a B or BN. I need acouple more holders for the shanks so i could set it for 4 20in rows i can set an A for three 30in rows then cultivate behind a 6 row planter in sweet corn. Local didnt have any this yr went to beans instead sort of a let down as it was really fun to cultivate the three plantings with either the A or the B.
