Iwas wondering if anyone could tell me what model # this planter might be. Would like to try to find manual.It has steel seed boxes and fiberglass fertilizer boxes. I have 3 sets of plates one is an IHC 1853A popcorn ,another is IH3301-A and the other is IH 1977-A small .If anyone can give me an idea it would be appreciated. thanks David

You can find pictures of them on the Case IH web site. I believe it is the parts section.

My guess would be a 184 or 185 -- look those two up on www.caseih.com and see if they match. The seed plates were likely the same for those two models. 185 replaced 184. The 184 has exposed chains, I think the 185 chains are enclosed and look more like bicycle chains. Anything newer than the 185 I am not familiar with.

thanks i will look and see the one i have does have exsposed chains . you have to push down the tension roller and move the chain from sprocket to sprocket to change the speeds. thanks again david
