one row picker on an H

Couple of years ago, when corn was CHEAP, I bought a corn stove for my shop. Hate to burn it when its high, but it's still cheaper than pellets. I believe I'm going to switch to a wood burner next year. Lots of wood around here, and the weather doesn't play a big part in whether I have something to burn.
Anyway, I had the 1940 H out w/ my model P one row picker, and picked about 3 acres of mediocre corn. It picked flawlessly, and was fun, for a while, anyway, then it started to become work.
I shell it out w/ my JD #43 pt pto sheller, after its dried out a bit. (testing in the high teens, low 20's)
I'll be pedalling both the sheller and the picker this fall, in time to fund a CUB project:)

Nice H! We burn wood here and it keeps the house nice and warm in the winter. My Farmall H is nice to pull a trailer with and haul the wood home.

Where is the picker located? I would love to have a pull type picker. We ould use that here and shell with my buddy's MM sheller.

I'm in south central Illinois. Straight east of St. Louis, about 60 miles, and just a few miles west of I-57.
