HI.
Just about to re-install my dual clutch into the 444 tractor with BD154 diesel engine.
I got a new main clutch plate & PTO plate.

I need to know which way the new plates should face.(I took pics of the original positions, but they are bad quality). The PTO plate looks similar both sides, but the main plate has a raised centre on one side.
I have put 2 pics in the Community Gallery, for reference.

Also, the 3 adjusting bolts need to be set for efficient operation. How do I set them to get the best result? Will post a pic of this too.

Thanks in advance.
Jim

in the main clutch the raised portion goes away from the flywheel. (if put on the wrong way the raised portion hits the flywheel before the friction material).
The center hub on the secondary disk may extend farther from the friction surface on one side or the other. Usually (but I am not certain n this application) the longer side goes rearward away from the other disk. JimN

Hi, here is adjustment procedure from Bernard le mécano:

adjusts the three bolts to have a play of .090 and 3/4 to 1 inch of the play for foot pedal.

Hope this helps
