Difference between 806 856 D

Would the 806 & 856 use the same service manuals for the drive train and other things? Have a 856 D and I got a drive train manual for a 706, 806 & 1206 or is there a firrerent manual I would need for this and would anyone know the item #?

Drive trains are the same other than the shifting mechanisem and park brake.The engines are different just in the cubic inch displacement 361 vs. 407.

Other than the early model 706/806 which had the foot operated parking brake, the brake linkage will be the same.

The mechanisms under the range cover will be different between the two tractors.

If it were me I would buy the correct manuals for the 56 series. I would get the 56 series shop manual, 856 parts manual, and 856 operators manual. Armed with these, you are good to go...
