Is This The Right Seat for a 2424??

I need to replace the aftermarket seat cushions on my 2424. I found this seat on ebay, and I seem to recall that the original seats were black and white strips like this. The K & H seats are solid black. Would the striped black and white be original, or closer to what came on it from the factory?

Tim, I have the original seats on my Farmall 404 and they look very similar to what you found on Ebay. Dad bought a new 424 in 1966 and if memory serves me it had the black / white seat like my 404 has. I`d go with the seat on Ebay if it dont get bid too high. One question though, did you mean K & M seats or is there another seat manufacturer by the K & H name ?

Thanks for confirming my suspicion. And you are correct, it is K&M.
How did the 424 work out for your father? I've had mine for 20 years and love it - perfect for hauling firewood and plowing the driveway.

It was a very good machine. It was a diesel and had power steering and a No. 1501 IH loader . We moved alot of manure and snow with that tractor and had it until 1995 when my brother quit farming and the 424 was sold at the auction. I still regret not buying it, but I didn`t have a whole lot of spare cash at the time and I was also wanted to keep Dad`s Super C in the family, so I only could afford the SC.
