f656 carb new, rebuilt, kit or?

I was thinking about rebuilding or replacing the carb on my 656 and have a few questions. I have the IH carb #388296R92. I see there are kits or replacement carbs for it looks like 3 different carbs for this tractor. Is it best to just rebuild or replace the original or is the Zenith or Marvel Schebler a better option? Do all of these just bolt up to the intake or were the different carbs matched to a different intake? Has anyone been down this road and found something that works better than original? Unless the carburetor is broken or missing, you're wasting your money by buying a new or rebuilt carburetor. It's not difficult to put a rebuild kit in.
