Super A air Cleaner

My 1948 SA at some point in it's life apparently rolled over. There is evidence of repairs on the left side of the tractor, welding on the front and rear axles, steering wheel support, and on the manifold and air cleaner. This summer while bush-hogging I hit a low limb on a tree that bent my muffler into my air cleaner tube bending it just below the hood, this is where the previous owner had made his repair with a brass tube. I broke this tube. This coupled with the fact that the oil cup also leaks I would like to convert to a dry type air cleaner but I have not seen one for my tractor. What is y'alls opinion, try to find another oil bath air cleaner, try to re-repair mine or do any of you know of a good after market dry type air filter for the C113 engine? Thanks, Jay
 
There's NOTHING wrong with the air cleaner it came with. I'd simply find another one.
 
Can you get another piece of pipe or simply saw the bad section out of the pipe & use a piece of rubber hose with hose clamps to repair it? Pipe would be shorter, but still look presentable.
 
Thanks for all the replies, it would be easy to cut out the previous repair which was a piece of brass pipe brazed in the old tube and use a rubber hose, clamps and new piece of pipe. I was hesitant about switching types of air cleaners, that's why I ask for advise here first. Jay
 
I took a piece of 1 1/2 EMT conduit, cut out the old repair slid the conduit down over the air cleaner tube and used the conduit clamps and clamped it on the top and bottom. This is a work tractor so I didn't weld it in. I found a small hole in the oil cup and I was able to sand it down and use some acid core soldier and was able to soldier up the the hole. It now is back up and running and hopefully will go for another 40 years. Thanks for all the help. Jay
