I am trying to put flashing lights on my M for traveling on the road. Can anyone tell me how to wire this together? How to wire in the flashing unit. What I will need and the schematic to do it.
Thanks Kevin

A 12 gauge wire from the battery side of the starter switch going to A 15 amp inline fuse holder. From the fuse, go to a 20 amp capable switch. (located where you can reach it. From the switch 12 ga wire to a 6 (or 12) volt heavy duty two prong flasher. From the other flasher prong, go to all the lamps you want to flash. use 12 ga wire if 6v. or 14 ga if 12v. Ground each light at the mount to the tractor, and there you are. JimN

Y can get the fender mounded flasher lamps with the flasher part built in. just run 12V to them.

Along with Kevin"s question....I have a yellow flashing light with magnetic base like the rural mail carriers use. Would I need a big 12v battery to run the light for a tractorcade, or would a small new motorcycle battery have enough reserve capacity for most of a day? My H is 6v and I don"t want to alter that.

Thanks Jim. Will get a lawn tractor battery. Will be visible now for quite a ways...if vehicle driver is awake or not on phone.
