your missing a few words form your statement i believe.

do you NEED a HEAD?, or do you need to verify the part number on the head you have to make sure its an LP head?
 
Alright I need to know what Lp head Number is,Or I need some information that would tell me the best head I can run on this engine, for open class 4mph or 8mph.Higher RPM. Thanks Keith Y.
 
www.caseih.com will give you the part number, there are also high altitude higher compression heads, but this question is for the pulling people, which I am not.

ive got a 450LP motor in a WK-40 with the LP head onit, and it rips with premium gas in it. I ll have to look and find the casting number for an LP head
