Carburetor Repair Kit No Good

1941 Farmall A.
Serial No. F.A.A.77497.
Zenith carburetor 161 x 7, 9752.
I am rebuilding this carb and ordered a kit from Yesterday's Tractors. The delivery was very prompt.
However, the kit is poor.
The gaskets and throttle shaft are fine, but,
1. The choke shaft splines that interface with the lever that connects to the choke linkage are a "coarse" instead of a "fine" spacing, so the lever will not fit.
2. The fuel valve seat is oversized by 14 thousandths so it will not fit.
3. There was no brass throttle shaft packing retainer included in the kit.
This product is a Tisco kit, labeled C509V and IS specified, on the packaging, for Zenith carbs of the number 9752, which mine is.
What gives?
Has anyone had a similar experience and where do I get the proper kit?
Thanks,
Tom

"YES" i only buy carb kits from the dealer. The orignal carb went how long before needing a rebuild ?

These after market kits are "sad" and people talk all the time on how well they work. I really don't think they the know the differance between a good carb and a fair one.

Factory kits aren't cheap but everthing is exact and fits perfect "zero " problems.

I really laugh at those Tractor Supply carb kits, "wow are these kits bad".

I have a Super M set up for pulling and run a dyno service on the side, so i see the results of these poor kits on the dyno.

Save your money and all the brain pain that goes along with the cheap kits.

James, there is no such thing as a "factory" kit anymore. The kit you buy at the dealer is the EXACT SAME kit you get at YT, Tractor Supply, Ebay, or any of the hundreds of small operators out there.

You might get NOS parts at a dealer, but not likely if they turn over their inventory.

All you get with the kit from the dealer is (maybe) a nice CNH logo on the package and (definitely) a nice bill in the mail.

That may be for some carb kits or maybe it depends on what source your individual dealer is using. But as a general statement it is absolutely not true.

To see how much difference there can be, look at this side by side comparison.
