W9 hydraulic valve mounting

Does anyone here have a picture or can tell me where precisely the valve for my W9 is supposed to be mounted. Mine has a standard H/M valve and is mounted fairly high on the left fender. I know the W series have a longer operator's handle and should consequently be mounted much lower. Plus the supply/return hoses on my tractor don't run through the left platform, but instead are over the top. Somebody also hacked up the opening in the platform to more easily remove the hoses.

You can see most of this in the picture. I should add that it all works fine.

Thanks in advance, Chris B.

There is a W-9 Christmas tree valve on eBay right now. It has a long curved handle. If you email the seller, he might send you some info.

Where is the pump on a a W-9? Bolted to front of tub?

BTW, I think it should be on the right like other IH product of that era. The later 9-series had right side levers including tracked tractors. It also seems like any forklift I have ever run had right-hand hydraulics.

in guy fays book on the letter series, there is a photo of a 9 with the hydraulic valve mounted directly below where yours is a t, on the deck against the fender, about even with your couplers. i picked up a live pump asem from joe in il a while back off his wd-9, that valve mounts on the right side of the tractor.

Thanks for the response. I see that photo in Guy Fay's book. It doesn't show how it actually mounts to the deck, but I can surmise it is a flat mount. If I ever choose to make it correct, I'll have to get shorter hoses.

Thanks, Chris B.
