-9 Series Tires

What size tires did the -9 series tractors use? I have gotten about 20 different possible answers.

there were numerous tire sizes depending upon how the tractor was ordered. my 9 runs 16.9 x34 rears

According to chapter 10 of Guy Fay's book on letter series Farmalls..."a wide variety". Speaking of Guy's book, I think you might find it very informative. Chapter 10 is pretty much exclusive to the 9 series and you would find it fascinating. I am one book short of the full set and recommend them highly.

My WR9 has 18.4/34 rears. My Super WDR9 has 23.1/26 rears.

Common on the W9 were 18.4 or 16.9x34 with the 16.9's being more common (from my experience). About anything is possible, I've got one W9 (no, not an I9) with ring-type rear wheels, with diamond plat flats...either factory made or VERY well made by a welding shop. I9's things get worse, could get about anything, different diameters, treads, widths...
