Hi all,
I'm rebuilding the zenith carb from my 53 Super A and need some help on how to remove the choke 'bar' so I can replace the felts. I have rebuilt the IH carb for my cub and 154 and my MF35, but I can't figure out how to get the choke 'bar' out - w/o breaking something. On one side it has a flat metal 'spring' in the shape of a 'C'. The other side, where the choke you pull attaches, it has a 'cap' that seems to fit over the end of the choke 'bar'. This cap holds the lever that attaches to what you pull. Behind this lever, is a 'collar' with a small pin in it. I took the pin out and tried to remove the cap, but it will not budge. I don't want to force it and break it. Any help how to take this apart would be great. - thanks! Sorry about the terms here.
