I recently bought an old John Deere drill on an auction. I don't know anything about it. Where do I look to find out what model it is, is there a plate with serial and model number on them somewhere? I need to get some parts for it but don't know what to get them for.

Thanks

Check the inside on the seed compartment lids. On some models the model is stenciled on, on others the rate chart denotes model.
Does it have steel wheels or rubber?

Some had brass nameplates on the end of the box or on the main frame. Take a GOOD look at it and see what you can find (or post a photo here. SOMEONE will recognize it.

Have you asked in the John Deere forum? It'd be logical that there would be more expertise on John Deere equipment over there.
